The Inspection was made on 6 April by the usual team: Helen Hewett, for HHTC, Roy Hayward and Sylvia Harris from Oathall Avenue, Murray Crump and Philip Kingsley from America Lane.
Generally the inspectors felt that the standard was very high, with most plots already being worked and benefiting from the fine mild early spring weather. At Oathall Avenue there were 5 plots where a letter would be sent to the tenants warning them to start working them or keep in better order. At America Lane no warning letters were considered necessary, but there were several cases where work on the plots would be monitored, and that could result in warnings if there was no more work done before the date of the next inspection, Wed 7th June.
At the time of the inspection there was only one plot currently vacant at America Lane, and Helen thought that she had a potential tenant who would be interested in it.
