Some of you may recall that I've raved about the quality of Franchi's Seeds of Italy and the plants they produce. Franchi's have now very kindly donated to us - and to many other schools and charitable institutions - a number of returned, out of date or shoproom handled seed packets. These are available on a first come, first served basis, or why not split them with a plot neighbour so that you can both get the benefit? Either way, just drop me a PM and I'll let you have a packet. Available are Lettuce: Winter Miracle, Pepper: Lombardo, Beetroot: Tonda di Chioggia (lovely striped beets), Spinach: Viroflay, Tomato: San Marzano Redonta (classic Italian plum for cooking and preserving), Cauliflower: di Verona Tardivo, Carrot: Tellus, and a really individualistic squash Marina di Chioggia.
