Put the date in your diaries now for the first of our neighbourly get togethers of 2018!
From 10 -12 am, weather permitting, we'll be setting up trestles in the Community Garden and will welcome all plotholders to come and join us, whether you're bringing seedlings to ease the burden on the shelves of your greenhouse, or if you're looking for just that one thing that will complete your planting. There will be refreshments available and we will welcome anyone who has other gardening items to dispose of.
More info soon on this thread and on our Facebook site. If you have any questions or would like to be involved further just get in touch with one of the ALPC - Andrew, Jane or Murray.

Update: the weather isn't going to be sunny but the rain should hold off on Sunday morning so we're going ahead with the seed and seedling swap. There will be hot drinks available, as well as home-made sausage rolls and cookies, so wrap up well and we'll see you on the site from 10 am!

Many thanks to all those who braved the weather on Sunday and came away with plants and seeds. It was, as a distinguished plotholder said to me, a very English sort of occasion, sitting around in the freezing cold under leaden skies, drinking tea and being sociable. And of course, no English occasion would be complete without a South African photombombing it! We did have quite an array of plants and many thanks to all those who contributed. Some have gone away with produce unclaimed, though I';m sure it isn't unwanted. We will be looking to repeat this opportunity over the next couple of weeks of fine weather and please note: any plants left on the aluminium table in the Community Garden are there for the taking. Good luck and hope the good weather brings great results to your efforts as our summer finally gets underway.
