Just back from a quick visit to the plot to see the extent of the winds and rains. There are quite a lot of blown-away membrane covers, fleece and polycarbonate greenhouse windows in places other than the ones you would expect them to be. I will post some of the pics I've taken in groups of three because of potential size restrictions. Warren's lake and muckheap cover Phil's frontage and raised beds seem to have taken a battering Josceline's fruit-cage looks to have been bent well out of the vertical.

Wilbarra, your greenhouses have taken a bit of a pasting. I picked up a couple of pieces of thin polycarbonate that had blown out but you will need to scrape off your bodgit sealant to get them back in! One of your side windows from your sun-porch shelter, found on my plot! Some of your glass panes stacked at the back have been smashed by something - perhaps the empty water-butt that has toppled over. The door to your polyanther house half-lifted off by the wind.

Not quite so dramatic elsewhere but a couple more pics to show how really atrocious the weather has been this weekend. Oscar had put fine netting down to cover that bed. Stuart's raised beds are an example to us all, and generally very weather-resistant, but the fleece has been almost stripped from this one. Patsy's potato trenches will need a lot of drainage.

Just got back from a quick visit. I seem to have gotten off lightly. Put the mesh back, it was only held down by a few bricks. Once day I am going to build some proper frames for it. Not so lucky at home, some fence damage. I get the feeling tomorrow there will be a queue for new fence panels.
