I have a couple of comments on these.
Item 5, last para:
"Mr Murray Crump commented that there is going to be a considerable amount of differences of opinion on allotments and there probably won’t be a majority view so suggested a meeting with the Town Clerk with suggestions which will then go out to consultation with all allotment holders on America Lane and Oathall sites. Action: - Town Clerk to meet with Mr Murray Crump "
This is not quite correct. I commented that the Questionnaire was extremely prescriptive in its questions requiring users to commit to one of a number of sizes for plots, both for new tenants and for maximum plot sizes, rather than allowing allotment holders to exporess themselves in terms of their needs, which might not fit into the size blocks described. That was the background to the "differences of opinion". Secondly, the suggestion for further discussion was related to the motion for a committee of America Lane plotholders to be formed (see under item 7 America Lane) and the content of the letter to be sent to plotholders from the Council, as they held the addresses of all plotholders.
That meeting has now taken place and a text will go out shortly.

AS FAR AS INSPECTIONS ARE CONCERNED. IT WAS NOT AGREED THAT THE INSPECTIONS WOULD BE MADE AND THE RESULTS PASSED TO THE TOWN COUNCIL FOR APPROVAL. THE TOWN CLERK PUT THAT PROPOSAL FORWARD BUT A SUGGESTION BY MYSELF THAT THE INSPECTION TEAM WOULD BE HEADED BY THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF RUNNING THE TWO SITES,HELEN HEWITT, AND WHAT THEY DECIDED WOULD STAND.

How I understood it was that two people from each site together With the allotment warden were going to do the inspections and Their decision would stand. No suggestion of all decisions going in front of the town Council to be approved Where did that one come from?
