WITH THE SUDDEN CHANGE IN THE WEATHER AND WORKING TODAY ON THE PLOT AND THE SUN ON MY BACK I BEGAN TO THINK OF A RHYME I LEARNT AT SCHOOL, IN THE LONG DISTANT PAST ,ABOUT THE WEATHER CHANGES DURING THE YEAR. HERE GOES: JANUARY WHITE WITH SNOW FEBRUARY GREEN SHOOTS GROW MARCH WINDS ROAR OVER THE HILLS APRIL GAY WITH DAFFODILS MAY BLOSSOM SCENT THE AIR JUNE HEDGEROW FLOWERS EVERYWHERE JULY THE BLAZING SUN SHINES DOWN AUGUST FIELDS TURN TO BROWN SEPTEMBER BERRIES COME TO THE FORE OCTOBER FRUIT WE PICK AND STORE NOVEMBER BRINGS THE FOG AND RAIN DECEMBER FROST AND ICE AGAIN

What about the rhyme about the greening of Trees and the weather. Oak before ash in for a splash Ash before oak in for a soak And Higher the nasturturm do grow up the vine Sweeter the grape,stronger the wine

nothing to do with the weather but one about not hoeing weekly one years weeds seven years seeds
or the sussex version of the same thing
if for one year you dont go hoeing then seven years weeds you will be sowing
