From 10.00 - 12.00 please bring along anything you've nurtured from seed and cannot use yourself. Leave it for others, chat, have a cup and a bite of something, and perhaps share in what others have raised. Location to be confirmed - perhaps at the far end of the site, but there will be a potting table set up, tea and goodies.

Update on this event.
We'll be setting up a table at the far end of the site up by the fence, and tea/coffee and snacks will be available for everyone from 10 - 12. Please bring along seedlings if you have some to spare, or any item of garden equipment that you don't need that someone else may be grateful for. Think hanging baskets, surplus flower pots, anything that can find a new and useful home. If you don't have anything to swap, don't worry, just come along and meet your friends and neighbours and see if there is something that might come in handy. We welcome friends from the other Haywards Heath sites to come and meet us and celebrate the pleasures of gardening and being neighbours.

Good morning all. After the welcome showers of the last few days the rain has stopped now and the forecast is for the morning to improve steadily and remain dry.
We'll be setting up a table at the far end of the site in the turning space behind Patrick's plot and quite a few people have promised to bring in seedlings they have no use for and also some items of gardening kit that could find new owners. There will be tea and coffee, homemade sausage rolls and shortbread biscuits - all free. We're looking forward to meeting some new plot holders and we've also been contacted on Facebook by a visitor from Australia who is interested in how allotments work in our country! We would love to see you all - and don't worry if you have nothing to swap, just come and chat and see if there's something that could help you get your summer growing off to a good start.

What a great morning we had! Great to see so many of us come along and bring their plants : masses of varieties of tomatoes, cucumbers, courgettes, chillis, peppers, broccoli, turnips and herbs. It was good to see lots of neighbours, and new friends too from Oathall. Gardening is a family environment, and it was very fitting to see families, children and dogs! Thanks to Pat, Jane and Oscar for all the nice snacks and to all of our friends

It was a great morning. Loved meeting some new friends.. and chatting with old!
As Murray said - thanks to all who donated spare seedlings. Loads have now found new homes and those that didn't have been sent to a primary school to assist their school garden - after all, we need to encourage a new generation of future allotmenteers!!
