Now is the time of year to get rid of this invasive weed before its seeds pop and disperse over a wide area. The Council are aware and have promised to send the grounds team to cut it down along the banks of the stream as soon as possible. If you've just taken on a plot on the left-hand side of the site, looking up the path from the main entrance, then look at the back to see if you have any of these plants. They are fairly shallow-rooted so they can be dug out. Don't be decieved by the pretty pink flowers: they grow well over head height and smother any other vegetation.

Thank you. I can’t stress enough how invasive this “pretty” pink plant is. I think we should all pull up or “top” these plants when we see them - some plotholders are not able to visit as often as others and we would be doing them and ourselves a great service to keep this under control. So Inwill be pulling them up around my plot when I see them - as I really don’t want it invading my plot.
