I have dug up all my Rhubarb and will only need a couple of pieces of crown myself to re plant. If anybody wants a slice of Rhubarb crown to plant for next year let me know. They are at America Lane but no reason why other HH plots holders can't have some if they need it. If you are at AL and want some give me you plot number and I'll leave some on your plot for you.

I know you posted this an age ago, but new to a plot on AL, would love a piece if you still have some. 2 weeks in the plot is bare, but half dug so some progress. Plot 14

There were two big pieces left last time I was there. Feel free to help yourself. It still looks alive. In fact it seems like it wants to grow even though its been above ground for several months now. Rhubarb is not one for giving up easily.

Reviving this thread to say a big thank you to Stuart for the rhubarb crown I took from him, with permission, back in the early spring. Despite being transplanted twice , having had a rethink about my, own plot after I had first planted it, it has grown prodigiously and very healthily. We have had a couple of very good-sized pickings from it so far this year and look forward to many more to come.

Good stuff. Glad to know it has settled in to its new home. If only I could take the credit but all I did was inherit it from John B when I took over the plot and despite my best efforts to kill it off in my early allotment fumblings it kept on going. It has now migrated to many AL plots and quite a few homes around HH. I've sent it as far as Horsham and Wembley. The later carried via national rail via Canary Wharf in one of those turkey boxes with handles. I've got a waiting list for next season and I went down to two crows myself in order to save space. My two are looking lush now after a slow start so maybe yet another lift and divided in the winter.

Perhaps when you next divide and send the results far and away you could get it to send back postcards of the new home, as in the gnome in the film Amelie!
