The weather may have been pretty dramatic over Easter but it has prompted a large number of posts and views of this forum, and March is already our busiest month, with more than 4000 page views and over 60 posts. It has been good to see the enthusiastic contributions of new members, such as helenco, david1966 and bridgey, all entering into the spirit of community and sharing their hope and experiences alongside the (relatively) old stagers on the forum. In a few weeks time we will have the opportunity to meet with the other allotment holders and members of the Council and the Town Hall allotment staff at the Plotholders meeting and I'm sure there will be some good discussions there.
As we head into the growing season I'd like to ask for your thoughts about this forum; what are the things you like about it and the ways you think it could be improved? Is the format right for you, easy to read, and does the software we are using work well for you? Is the arrangement of sub-boards and threads working well or do you find it confusing? Can we use things like the shoutbox facility (the extra text below every thread that we used to display our Easter message) more often to alert users to important things, or is the rolling banner of News on the Home page sufficient?
I would be glad to hear from everyone and will take on board any points you raise and explore technical possibilities, or any innovations in terms of layout or subject headings: it is your forum and I want to help you get the best out of it.
