The skip duly arrived this morning and is located about halfway up the tarmac path, apparently at the request of a plotholder. Glad to see that it is being exclusively used by the America Lane plotholders so far and thanks to the Town Council and Councillor Jeffers for organising this.

AS MURRAY HAS SAID THE SKIP HAS DULY ARRIVED AND HAS ALREADY BEEN FILLED TO ITS UPPER LIMITS BUT BY PLOT HOLDERS AND NOT ANYBODY ELSE. WHICH RATHER PROVES THAT THE TOWN CLERK WAS RIGHT TO REINTRODUCE THE SKIP TO OUR SITE AFTER A LONG PERIOD OF TIME. PERHAPS ONE MUST WONDER WHY IT WAS EVER STOPPED. THE VERY FACT THAT IT HAS BEEN FILLED UP SO QUICKLY PROVES THAT IT WAS A BAD DECISION BY THE PREVIOUS TOWN CLERK AND THE PERSON IN CHARGE OF ALLOTMENTS AT THE TIME TO STOP HAVING A YEARLY SKIP.

A very well-laden skip already, though as another post details, some very re-usable wood has been offloaded to make a bit of room for others to get rid of their waste. It really does meet a need to have a skip regularly on site - something the Plot Committee will be bearing in mind when we put up proposals to the Council for their Allotments Policy review.
