I know we all feel that this lockdown has been harder to endure than last year's, terrible though that was. We did have the benefit of being able to get out to our allotments most days to do some "exercise" and we were blessed with an early, long-lasting and warm spring. In contrast we've had to stay in isolation in cold or rainy weather for most of the last two months. Only in the last week or so has the gloom lifted and it is great to see so many people on the plots now with the same intention, to celebrate what we hope will be the lifting of the veil and to do something fun and worthwhile in fresh air.
Here's a little initiative co-ordinated by Sylvia Harris from Oathall Avenue allotments and the Haywards Heath Horticultural Society. There is beauty all around us - let's start snapping!
