Quite a few greenhouses suffered damage yesterday, especially at the front of the plot. From a quick walk up and doen this morning it looks as if most structure suffered some damage unless they were extremely well grounded, like Nick Monk's vegetable cage, or were tucked away and sheltered by trees that didn't retaliate and lash with their branches. There have been several cases of damage to polytunnels either by flying objects ripping as with Graham's or by wider damage - sympathies to Chaminda. Elsewhere most of us who have covered up the soil now find parts of it are uncovered - and if anybody sees some plastic covering with eyelet holes all round the edges, about 20 x 10, please let me know!
The cover board for the big cistern at the front is nowehere to be seen and I'll report this to Helen.
Certainly the strongest winds I've seen since I've been on this site and very possibly the strongest since 1987.

Hi Murray. We are on the front plot but currently out of the country until Monday. Thanks for putting the photo up. We have missed 2 calls from the council and thought this might be the case. We will get onto the clear up once home. Hope everyone else has survived relatively unscathed. If you have any contact with the council could you please tell them we are aware and will sort asap. Thanks.
