This year's improvement project in the Community Garden is to extend the brick path at the rear of the garden all the way along, allowing safe access to the garden for weeding and planting and keeping clear of the bank of the stream and the weeds. Andrew Lawes of the ALP Committee has very kindly volunteered to do this and we have plenty of bricks for the path that were given to us by a former plotholder.
What Andrew would like is some timber to act as a retaining frame for the hardcore footings. Almost anything would do, and if you have some either on your plots or at home, or you know of some that we could use, please let me or Andrew know. You can send us both posts on this board or as PMs (Andrew is registered as Slugwash), or best of all, come and see one of us on the site. Thanks in advance.
