This information affects plot holders whose allotment backs onto the stream, but to other allotment holders as information about what is happening onsite.
The Town Council have been planning clearance of vegetation along the bank of the stream for some time and after undergoing a procurement process, contractors have been appointed. Work was due to commence later in March before the nesting season, and those allotment holders on the stream side of the site were due to get individual letters. However, the contractors have a change in their schedule and work will commence on Monday 4th March, so apologies for the short notice. If you are one of the plots most affected by this work, please can you try and move any items from the edge of the bank to assist with the contractors being able to clear the vegetation and please keep the bank clear for future maintenance work.
